Nicolette Ingram

B.Psych.Sc (Hons), MA Psych. (Neuro)

Nicolette has a Masters Degree in Neuropsychology and works with people of all ages with neurological or cognitive challenges.

Nicolette provides educational assessments for primary and high school aged children. She works closely with our child clinical psychologists to complement their therapy approaches with her assessment skills. She can be involved in school liaison sessions. Nicolette also has a particular interest working with adults experiencing issues with their memory or other cognitive skills. She offers assessment following brain injury, sport-related concussion and seizures. She also provides rehabilitation counselling in the context of long term work injuries or following motor vehicle accidents.

Nicolette is able to perform a broad range of cognitive tests including the WISC, WAIS, WIAT and WMS, which assess intellectual functioning and memory.

Nicolette offers ongoing counselling for people with memory or brain impairment issues and undertakes capacity assessments if required. She enjoys providing family support sessions to families affected by dementia.  She also offers supportive counselling for individuals through the Workcover and TAC schemes. Her therapy approach is informed by the fields of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, motivational interviewing and positive psychology.

Nicolette’s approach is individualised for each client to help them gain a greater understanding of their cognitive difficulties and to optimize their mental functioning.

Nicolette is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society and is a registered provider for Medicare and Private Health Insurers
