She individualises her approach for each person and will also draw upon clinical approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (including mindfulness), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and solution focussed strategies. She also has a strong interest in applying principles from the field of Positive Psychology to enhance her treatment approach. Nahanni uses an empathic and accepting approach to people’s challenges. She likes to work collaboratively to find positive ways through difficult times.

Nahanni likes to incorporate resilience-building strategies in her work with children and adolescents and works closely with parents to maximise the whole family’s adjustment to everyday life difficulties. She also likes to liaise with schools if necessary to value-add to treatment.

Nahanni is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society and is a registered provider for Medicare and Private Health Insurers.

Nahanni works Tuesdays and Fridays from our 28 Villamanta Street building and is available for telehealth appointments every second Saturday.

Below is a video Nahanni recorded with Angie Hilton from Destination Happiness. It contains some strategies for parenting kids with anxiety.
