Chris Mackey and Associates is a progressive and innovative specialist psychology practice which offers a comprehensive range of individual and group services in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Health Psychology, Counselling Psychology and Neuropsychology. We have evolved over twelve years to become the largest psychology practice in Geelong. Starting salary $63,200 to $85,000 plus super

Job Description

Chris Mackey and Associates is a progressive Geelong-based private psychology clinic, currently staffed by 12 specialist Psychologists, which is committed to the pursuit and maintenance of uncompromisingly high clinical standards. We seek an enthusiastic, capable and team-oriented Clinical Psychologist with at least a Masters or Doctoral degree. We offer considerable autonomy, flexibility and administrative support.

The successful applicant will likely have excellent interpersonal skills and supervised experience gained in a specialist setting (preferably a government hospital or clinic) working with those suffering from such conditions as depression, PTSD and other anxiety disorders, relationship difficulties and a range of other clinical and behavioural problems. Some training and experience in marital therapy hypnotherapy and/or group therapy is an advantage.

The successful candidate will enjoy extensive opportunities for professional development including ongoing individual and group supervision and paid conference leave. Our clinic offers rewarding colleagueship and excellent facilities including two well-appointed practice buildings incorporating staff retreats, research library and seminar room. Remuneration starts at state award levels.

Regular clinical supervision is provided by the Principal Psychologist who has presented clinical research at numerous national and international conferences and received the 2001 and 2002 Practitioner’s Awards from the Australian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (Vic Branch) for his work in the trauma field.
