Free Public Talks

Each year Chris Mackey offers a series of public talks on positive psychology and mental health issues. Positive psychology relates to creative ways of promoting positive mental health.

In the talks Chris emphasizes the practical tips and strategies he has found to make the most difference over his 30 years of practice in Geelong in helping people deal with a wide range of psychological issues including anxiety, depression, trauma reactions and challenging life circumstances.

Chris refers to recent findings and innovative therapy directions which he has encountered whilst attending national and international conferences and workshops. He aims to convey information that is less likely to be accessed elsewhere.

The talks are open to all members of the public and will be directed to those who have a general interest in mental health issues as well as to mental health students and practitioners. A number of previous talks are summarized in our weblog section. Blogs on most topics will continue to be added over time.
